Polar Bear is great - have used them for commercial HVAC repair - not only was this the FIRST company out of 3 that actually fixed the issue - the first time ! Most companies try to milk businesses and come out 3-4 times and still don’t fix the issue! BUT Polar Bear kept in constant communication of what it was, how long to get the part (for a commercial unit - it was next day - was a Friday evening when they came out - how nice already!) professional, HONEST and fast - hard to come by in HVAC - highly recommend!

We experienced our lights blinking off and on repeatedly. Alabama Power sent a crew to check and they advised that our "service mast" and "meter can" (I'm not certain of the terms) needed replacing and maintenance of those parts of electrical service are the responsibility of the homeowner. I called a well-advertised electrical service company and requested an on-site estimate. The estimate I was given was shocking (no pun intended). There was a lot of talk about "code deficiencies" and additional work that would be necessary to bring our fuse panel, wiring, grounding, etc. sufficiently "up to code" to satisfy the inspector from the City of Hoover who would come out to inspect ALL aspects of our home wiring. A General Contractor we have used in the past referred me to Polar Bear Services. Their representative came out and provided an estimate to make the necessary repairs. Polar Bear's estimate was $7,000 LESS than the previous estimate we had been given. Two Polar Bear electricians came to our home at the appointed date and time and performed all the work necessary. They were friendly, pleasant, cordial and respectful. The work was completed within the interval they had estimated and at the same cost as the original estimate. The inspector from the City of Hoover came and approved all the work that had been done. My take on Polar Bear Services is that they display a high levels of integrity, honesty, fair play, consumer service and loyalty.

Tim responded to us first to repair our system. Compressor was shot and Tim tried multiple ways to kick start it. Due to age and improvements to the equipment, I preferred to replace the system and Tim was very knowledgeable and made a reasonable recommendation.. Andrew, Trace and Logan arrived and did a very professional installation in the hottest of environments. I was then given a tour of the system and shown the changes made to improve our reliability. John came out to check our furnace which we thought may have smelled gas, but since Covid my smell isn't working, VERY DANGEROUS! He checked everything including air, and cleaned everything so nicely. We got on the plan so that they come out every 6 months or sooner if needed and save 15% on parts. I trust them very much.
